The explosion deals holy damage, which can be increased by items such as the Sacred Scorpion Charm and spells such as Golden Vow.

You can use the Cracked Crystal Tear to gain early access to Leyndell, Royal Capital. Once you have acquired it, head to the teleportation chest in the Weeping Peninsula, which will take you to the site of the Divine Bridge of Grace. Take the elevator shortcut, start walking toward the ledge, drink the Bottle of Wondrous Physique as you move to start falling at the precise moment your character has gained the buff, then launch a barehanded dive attack when the explosion is about to occur.

If done at the right time, the explosion can negate fall damage, allowing you to climb back up the elevator and freely access Leyndell. This allows you to enter the capital without needing to obtain two great runes or even access the Altus Plateau, essentially requiring only access to Liurnia.

Your vitality stat does not matter for the jump to succeed as long as you time the dive attack correctly (it is confirmed to work on version 1.09 with a level 1 Rune character).
