In this guide, we'll explain how to create the best Build Elden Ring Arcane, which we've nicknamed the Blood Lord. We'll cover the weapons, items and stats you need for this Arcane Build and explain what makes it one of Elden Ring's best Builds.
Best Build Elden Ring Arcane
Like our Rivers of Blood and Dexterity builds, this Elden Ring Arcane build focuses on the bleeding effect inflicted on enemies. It does this by using the Bloodboon Ritual Skill which comes with Mohgwyn's Sacred Spear, which is one of the best weapons in Elden Ring. This skill allows you to throw the spear in the air and cover the surrounding area in blood, dealing a lot of damage to enemies and increasing their bleeding status.
Where to find Mohgwyn's Sacred Spear in Elden Ring?
To get Mohgwyn's sacred spear, you have to go to Mohgwyn Palace and kill Mohg, Lord of Blood. Then you can bring the Bloodlord Souvenir to Finger Reader Enia and purchase Mohgwyn's Sacred Spear.
Build Elden Ring Arcane Stat Requirements
This Build Elden Ring Arcane requires the following stats:
- 24 Strength
- 14 Dexterity
- 27 Arcana
The most important attribute for this version is Arcane. You will need 27 Arcana to wield Mohgwyn's Holy Spear, but we recommend raising it up to the soft cap of 60. This will increase your damage with the spear and also increase the speed at which you inflict the bleed effect on enemies. Once you have 60 Arcana, you will find that you can cause enemies to bleed whenever you use the Bloodboon Ritual skill.
Dexterity and strength are less important here, so we recommend initially aiming for the minimum requirements listed above. You will be able to use Mohgwyn's Sacred Spear with 24 Strength and 14 Dexterity, at which point you should return to Arcane. If you hit 60 Arcane and want to invest in a secondary stat, put a few extra points into Strength. Spear doesn't scale well with Dexterity, so leave it at 14.
Important equipment for Build Elden Ring Arcane
While just leveling up Arcane will make Mohgwyn's Holy Spear incredibly powerful, there are a few other items you can get to become an unstoppable Bloodlord. We'll break down the Talismans and Crystal Tears you need below:
- Marika's seal: a talisman that increases your Arcane, Faith, Intelligence and Spirit by 5 levels each. This will increase your max damage with Mohgwyn's Sacred Spear and increase your FP, making it vital for this Arcane Build. You can find it in Elphael, Brace of the Haligtree by descending into the ravine near the site of Grace's Prayer Hall and unlocking the fog wall nearby.
- Filigree Crest of Carian: a talisman that reduces the FP cost of weapon skills, allowing you to use Bloodboon's Ritual more often. You can buy the Carian Filigree Crest from Iji after helping Blaidd kill Bloodhound Knight Darriwil at Forlorn Hound Evergaol.
- Exultation of the Blood Lord: a talisman that increases your damage when a nearby enemy suffers the bleeding status effect. Since this build is all about making enemies bleed out as often as possible, this talisman offers an invaluable damage boost. You can obtain Blood Lord's Exultation by killing Esgar, Blood Priest, in the Catacombs of Leyndell under the Shunning-Grounds underground.
- Cerulean Hidden Tear: a crystal tear that reduces FP costs to 0 for a short time. This allows you to repeatedly use Bloodboon's Ritual skill without losing FP, so you can deal massive damage to enemies at no cost. You will get the Cerulean Hidden Tear after killing the spirit of the ulcerated tree at the foot of Mount Gelmir Minor Erdtree.
- Cracked tear enveloping the flames: a crystal tear that increases the power of your fire attacks. Mohgwyn's Holy Spear deals both physical and fire damage, so the fissured tear enveloping the flames will increase the damage you deal with each hit. You can get the Flame Enveloping Crystal Tear from the Erdtree avatar found at the minor Erdtree west of Caelid.
After getting the Crystal Tears, shuffle them into your Wondrous Physics Flask at a Grace Site.
