5 things about Raid Shadow Legends's affinity!

Everything you need to know about affinity in Raid Shadow Legends!

Affinity in Raid Shadow Legends is for all champions.

There are four:

  • Strength (Red skull)
  • Magic (Blue Ball)
  • Spirit (Green Lightning)
  • None (Violet Triangle)

For strength, magic and spirit, there is a history of strong/over affinities (stronger than) and counter affinities (weaker than). This entitles the champion to bonuses or penalties.

For example, a strength champion who attacks a magic character will have strong affinities, whereas if he attacks a spirit character, he will have counter affinities. You can see this in the image at the top.

Nulls are separate and have no counter affinities or strong/over affinities. Null champions can ONLY be obtained in null shards.

Affinity bonuses:

When you have a good match, your champion wins:

  • 15% critical rate
  • 30% chance to make a strong hit (strong hits increase damage by 30%).

Affinity penalties:

When you are in the wrong affinity, you lose :

  • 15% critical rate chance (read more)
  • 35% chance to make a weak hit (damage reduced by 30% and debuffs will not be applied unless otherwise specified in the spell (Kreela raid)

Please note that the -15% critical hit rate is incorrect. Since 2021, I have discovered while streaming that there is a -35% chance of a critical hit because the strike is automatically classified as WEAK!!!

If you have 35% critical rate on your champion there will NEVER be a critical hit!!!

I discussed it with Plarium, made videos and did a 1-hour stream with over 1,000 battles and 20,000 damage points received. 35% critical hit chance and no critical hits. The developers' response was that I was very unlucky not to get any critical hits...
