God of War Ragnarok was released on November 9, 2022 on PS4 and PS5. Developed by Santa Monica Studio and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment, is the ninth installment in the series.

When is the release date?
The release was originally scheduled for 2021, following a teaser Sony in the fall 2020. Development was ultimately delayed, and many players feared a postponement to 2023.

The PC release date
God of War Ragnarok arrived at computer the September 19, 2024, nearly two years after the release of PlayStation. The PC version is available on Steam and theEpic Games Store.

What's new in the game
God of War Ragnarok builds on the foundations of the previous game and enhances them in several ways. In terms of combat, here are the main new features:
- Kratos has a signature move which increases their chances of defeating a tough enemy.
- the shield becomes an offensive asset: he can now stun opponents by projecting a shock wave on the ground.
- The Leviathan axe and the game's Lames du Chaos remain the main weapons of Kratos throughout the adventure.
You also control Atreus during certain periods in history, and not just Kratos.
The father and son take turns narrating as the story unfolds, which keeps the narrative fresh in this ninth installment of the series God of War.
