Your power on Rise of Kingdoms It gets challenging when you're juggling construction, research, and troops nonstop. Here are some practical tips to help you level up your city quickly without wasting your resources.
Join an active alliance quickly
Once you're in an alliance, you can ask your members for help. Each click reduces your construction time by one minute. For buildings that take 1 to 5 minutes to build, the process becomes almost instantaneous if everyone is online.
Take advantage of this time to build the small buildings in your city—they don't take long. It's also through alliances that you unlock the Alliance Center, which is useful for reinforcing your troops and defending your city.
Go to City Hall as soon as possible
L'city hall is the heart of your city on Rise of Kingdoms. Each level unlocks new buildings and directly increases your power.
As soon as you can upgrade to the next level, do it. Early on, use a few speed boosts to move quickly. Save some for the later stages, which are much longer.
Calculate construction times
Before going to sleep, start building the longest structures in your city. You won't lose any construction time overnight.
On the other hand, save the small upgrades (that take just a few minutes) for times when you're online and your alliance can help you. This time management makes all the difference in your city's progress.
Killing barbarians
As soon as your troops are ready, send them out to hunt down the barbarians around your city. Start with the low-level barbarians, then increase the difficulty based on the strength of your commanders.
You'll mainly collect resources (food, wood, stone, gold) and sometimes useful items. Higher-level barbarians offer better rewards, including speed boosts.
Minimize construction time as much as possible
Choose the Chinese civilization at the start: it provides a very useful construction speed bonus during the early stages of your civilization on Rise of Kingdoms.
Next, in the economic research tree, prioritize improvements to construction speed. Every point you gain adds up and accelerates your city’s overall growth.
Save your gems for the right moments
Don't spend your gems on small buildings in your city. It's better to keep a good supply!
Save them for the real bottlenecks—when an upgrade takes more than 24 hours to complete. You’ll hit this wall around City Hall levels 15–16. In the final stages (levels 23–25), build times skyrocket: that’s where your gems or boosts will save you the most time on Rise of Kingdoms.
Raise two buildings at the same time
Having only one construction queue slows you down significantly. At VIP Level 6, you unlock a second permanent queue. You can also get it for 2 days using a Builder Recruitment Item.
The rule is simple: you should always have two buildings under construction in your city, even at night. That's the best way to level up your city hall and increase your city's power faster.
What is the power record in Rise of Kingdoms?
The current power record on Rise of Kingdoms is held by the player EKREMABI. It exceeded the 2 billion in power, a level reserved for very long-standing accounts with significant in-game investments. Reaching this score requires years of gameplay, flawless management of your city's resources, and major in-game purchases.
You don't need to aim for that record to make good progress. To boost your power, focus on three specific areas. Increase your city hall as soon as possible, because its level unlocks most of the other buildings in your city. Next, keep military and economic research running continuously, regardless of your current age. Finally, train troops, making sure to always keep a queue active.
