Update 4.90 brings one of the most important features of the last few months: the Ring of Guardians. Thanks to him, you will be able to breathe new life into your Champions in duplicate and find a new use for them. We've already talked about it in several videos - including in a preview of the dedicated feature - so you might have already seen the details if you follow our social media. If not, read on and learn more!

Ring of the Guardians

The Ring of the Keeper is a new building that will appear in your Stronghold and will take the place of the Training Pit, but don't worry – we won't just be removing the Training Pit, it will be integrated into the Ring of the Guardian. By tapping on the building, you will see a menu with several tabs:

Nothing changes in the operation of the training ground. Simply insert champions into empty slots, and they will passively receive XP over time. Don't forget to level them up and replace them with new champions when you need them.

Faction Guardians

Here, you assign rare, epic, and legendary dual champions to become faction guardians. This means they will increase the stats of all champions of the same rarity in the chosen faction.

Each faction has 5 rooms available, and each room has 2 slots. Each Chamber provides stat bonuses to all Champions of the Faction it belongs to and of its respective rarity – similar to the Great Hall bonuses – but are Faction-specific rather than Affinity-specific. You unlock Chambers in a specific order by assigning duplicate Champions to them, so you must fill the first 2 Slots which give you a HP bonus before you can unlock the Chamber which provides an Attack bonus, and so on. If you remove Champions from a Chamber, this bonus will no longer work, and bonuses from the next unlocked Chamber will also be disabled.

Luckily, Champions you turn into Faction Guardians can still be used in battles, sent to the Champion Vault, or upgraded at the Tavern. As long as you don't get rid of either champion, you'll get the bonus. If you want to sacrifice or unbind Faction Guardian Champions, you will need to remove them from slots first.

Empower Champions

This tab allows you to “feed” your legendary champions with their doubles in order to give them power. You can do this up to 4 times, and each sacrificed doubloon will give your champion a stat bonus. But remember that you will permanently lose these doubles and think twice before deciding to sacrifice them. Additionally, champions who have been granted full abilities cannot be used to empower another champion.

While you can't get duplicates of Lydia the Deathsiren, Gomlok Skyhide, Urost the Soulcage, and a few other unique champions, they aren't excluded from this feature. Instead, they'll each receive a "surrogate duplicate" of their faction that can be used to empower them.

Free Champions and Token Merchant

This feature allows you to release – or unlink as we call it – duplicate champions. You will lose this champion forever, but get a certain amount of life tokens in return. These Life Tokens can be used in the Token Trader tab to purchase a Legendary Champion from the current roster. Most of these champions have been part of merge events in the past, so we wanted to give everyone a chance to get them. These champions will be Maulie, Fu-Shan, Tomb Lord, Foli, Minaya, and even the jolly Sir Nicholas.
