History of Teshada
Aussi féroce et capricieuse que sa chevelure de feu le laisse supposer, Teshada est une guerrière émérite dont la réputation s’est consolidée parmi ses alliés et ses ennemis malgré son jeune âge. Fille du clan de la Lune d’Ambre, banni dans le désert de Krokhan il y a plusieurs générations mais attaché aux anciennes coutumes, elle a été soumise à un entraînement rigoureux dès qu’elle a su marcher.
Les garçons comme les filles doivent savoir manier une arme, qu’il s’agisse d’une noble épée, d’un arc qui frappe juste, d’un puissant marteau… Pour Teshada, la combinaison d’une hache et d’un bouclier s’est avérée être le meilleur choix.
Bien qu’elle canalise sa fureur en frappant puissamment, le poids du bouclier dans sa main rappelle toujours à la jeune guerrière l’importance de la défense. Cependant, ce qui caractérise vraiment cette jeune fille aux cheveux rouges, c’est son lien avec les esprits des ancêtres que son clan vénère.
Jeune fille, Teshada s’est perdue dans une violente tempête de sable qui l’a surprise à l’extérieur du village. Alors que beaucoup la croyaient morte, car même des membres expérimentés du clan périssaient trop souvent dans de telles tempêtes, la recherche du corps a donné des résultats inattendus.
La jeune fille, vivante et indemne, a été retrouvée cachée dans une petite grotte perchée parmi les falaises de l’oasis voisine. Elle prétendit que c’était un éclaireur du Clan qui l’avait conduite là. Mais de l’homme mystérieux, il n’y avait aucune trace et aucun groupe d’éclaireurs n’était sorti ce jour-là.
De telles rencontres se sont répétées à l’avenir, mais ce n’est que bien des années plus tard que le chaman du clan a finalement accepté Teshada sous son aile et lui a appris à exploiter ce lien. Aujourd’hui, elle peut utiliser les faveurs des esprits pour ramener des alliés qui sont récemment passés au royaume des morts. Mais comme pour toute chose, il y a un prix à payer – les esprits exigent une vie en échange de la vie. Heureusement, les sacrifices appropriés ne manquent pas au combat.
