EFT, information about the Goons and GOONTRACKER

The Goons are a squad of three boss Nomads in Escape From Tarkov : Big Pipe, Knight and Bird Eyes.

Since they change maps for every raid, use the Goon Tracker to find out where they are in real time.

Below you'll find their spawns per map, their detailed equipment, and the best ways to defeat them.

Where can I find the Goons on the Goon Tracker website?

the Goon Tracker is an online community tracker. Every time a player spots the Goons in Tarkov, he submits a report on the website.

The tracker compiles all these reports and shows you, in real time, the map where the Goons were last seen.

Instead of loading a random map, check the latest reports and target the spawn Most likely. It's by far the fastest way to find the Goons in Escape From Tarkov.

Each card has its own spawn chance, and these values may change after a patch. The figures below are for August 2026 only.

Customs (Customs)

Spawn chance around 12 % on Customs. The Goons' main spawn point is located near the fortress. The terrain is semi-open with plenty of buildings to use for cover.

Wood (Woods)

Spawn chance around 15 % on Woods. The Goons most often appear near the Scav Bunker, in the northern part of the map.

The wooded property offers long lines of sight, which makes Bird Eyes particularly dangerous on this map.

Coastline (Shoreline)

Spawn chance around 15 % on Shoreline. The Goons spawn near the weather station, in height.

This position overlooks a large part of the map, giving the Goons the advantage of terrain. Make sure you have solid cover before pushing forward.

Lighthouse (Lighthouse)

With 19 %, this is the map where the Goons are most likely to spawn. On Lighthouse, they may appear in the cabin or near the water treatment plant, the building guarded by the rogues.

You'll have to deal with both the Goons and the rogues at the same time, which makes the fight a lot harder.

Who are the Goons in Tarkov ?

The Goons form a nomadic squad of three boss vehicles in Escape From Tarkov.

They move together from card to card (Customs, Shoreline, Woods, Lighthouse) and always strike as a coordinated team.

You never run into a single member: it's a close-knit team.

Knight serves as the leader and coordinates the other two. Big Pipe plays the role of a brute in the grenade launcherwhile Bird Eyes holds up over time in sniper. This combination makes it one of the most intense showdowns PvE the most feared in the game.

Big Pipe

Big Pipe is the most aggressive member of the trio. He pushes hard in close quarters and dominates positions at the grenade.

Knight

Knight is the leader and the toughest of the three Goons. With his Death Knight mask, he coordinates the trio and often acts as a supporting wall during rallies.

Bird Eyes

Bird Eyes is the sniper from the group. He takes up a position on high ground or behind cover and targets you from long range.

How to Beat the Goons in Escape From Tarkov ?

Rule number one: Never take on all three Goons at once. The squad coordinates constantly, so the goal is to split them up before engaging.

Start by locating and neutralizing Bird Eyes First things first. The Goons’ sniper takes up a high vantage point and will take you out as soon as you expose yourself along a long line of sight. Stay behind cover, close off open angles, and advance from position to position.

Next, take care of Big Pipe and its grenade launcher. From a distance, it can dislodge you from any position. Move in quickly and play on a closed angle to limit the blast radius.

The toughest of the Goons is still Knight, with its 1,120 PV and his heavy armor. Plan for armor-piercing ammunition kind M61 Where M62 on your rifle, and avoid shooting while moving to maintain accuracy.

Always keep a few grenades on hand. By throwing them, you force the Goons to leave their cover and move. If they rush you, that's the best time to take them down.
