Let's discover together the Altar of Sacrifices, a key element of Dungeon Crusher to enhance your heroes. I urge you not to rush into things blindly, but to take the time to read this comprehensive guide so that you fully understand how it works and can use it more effectively.
What is the purpose of the Altar in Dungeon Crusher?

This is a game feature that allows you to obtain alternative, even better versions of your heroes. Please note that there are two versions of the Altar: the first is unlocked at level 400 of the world mapThe second will be at level 1500, giving you access to an upgraded version.
The Altar in Dungeon Crusher has the primary function of sacrifice certain heroes to obtain upgraded versions. It also allows you to obtain shard packs in return, but I recommend focusing on summoning heroes once you reach level 400.
If you're new to the game, there's little chance of ruining your experience. However, you'll have to be more careful once you've got more heroes. Let me reassure you right away, a character you sacrifice will eventually returnbut we'll get to the details later.
How does the Altar work in Dungeon Crusher?
Before you sacrifice your heroes, keep the following points in mind :
- Some (but not all) heroes can be sacrificed for enhanced versions.
- The sacrifice of a hero is not guaranteed.. So expect to make several sacrifices before you get an improved version.
- You can bring back heroes placed in the Altar thanks to the Occult ritual (Dark Ritual).
- Every time a hero is sacrificed, there is high probability that he will not return. If this happens, wait for the next Occult Ritual. Your hero should normally return.
- He is It is possible that by sacrificing 2 heroes, you will recover 3. 2 improved (or unimproved) alternatives and a new hero.
- If you Sacrifice more than 3 heroes at the Altar, and you will only recover 3. after the Occult Ritual. But the next time it's used, they should come back.
In addition to its main function of improving heroes through sacrifices, the Altar allows you to also allows you to obtain hero shard packs. You will get more hero shards depending on the hero you sacrifice, their equipment, their rarity, and the gold used.

However, I would advise against using this feature at level 400. Wait until you reach level 1500 instead. to unlock the upgraded version of the Altar. So focus on the’upgrading your heroes and summoning new characters before upgrading your Altar.
Other tips to know for using the Altar effectively
Once you have unlocked the Altar of Dungeon Crusher, I recommend that you:
- Of unlock all hidden heroes with permanent upgrades. Once you have them all in your possession, never sacrifice them again.
- After unlocking the Altar for the first time, you will be able to sacrifice your heroes at any time, even after an Occult Ritual. So you won't have to wait until you reach level 400 to sacrifice your heroes. Using this method, the fastest way to unlock hidden heroes is:
- To move forward until you unlocked Brath the Ruthless.
- Of level it up to level 150 to unlock the Occult Ritual.
- Of sacrifice the desired heroes and bring them back with the Occult Ritual and start again.

Here is also some’other details you need to know on sacrifices:
- For Group 1: You get one of the two. Choose Abe Junior for normal play and Tod for DD (Dragon Draft).
- Two heroes can be selected from group 4, while one hero must be chosen from groups 2 and 7.
- To Tom & Isolda from Group 2: I recommend Isolda Gatekeeper, as it reduces damage.
- Group 7 allows you to’get Nushkilanby sacrificing Sicri, Kalethah or Katelah.
Remark : In the case of the Dragonoids, sacrificing one of them on the Altar will allow you to obtain one in return. However, it is also you may obtain the same Dragonoid you have sacrificed after the Occult Ritual.

The following heroes must not under no circumstances be sacrificed :
