L'Altar of Souls is the system of’awakening of Raid Shadow Legends. In it, you cite some souls for your champions, then you awaken them to unlock thanks, permanent bonuses that boost their stats and, in some cases, their skills.

The Altar of Souls on Raid Shadow Legends, what is it?
To use the altar, you need two resources: Essences of the Soul and soul stones. You can get them mainly at the Fort of the Iron Twins, but also through certain events and clan boss. The parts The rewards earned from this content directly contribute to your progress toward the altar.
The Two Types of Souls
It exists two types souls that you can summon and awaken to enrich your collection of souls :
- The Perfect Souls : They instantly level up a champion to the level indicated by their number of stars.
- Split Souls : They help promote early learning one level at a time, gradually.
In practice, a perfect soul is faster but costs more. The split souls are more flexible when you want to take it one step at a time.
Each champion can only be awakened with his own soul. Once you have it, you're ready to move on to the levels of arousal superiors.
Where to Get Souls and Essences
Once you have your resources, head to the altar. You have two options for developing your collection of souls :
- Using soul stones to summon souls at random.
- Buy souls directly from the soul trader by using soul essence.
The rarer the item, the more (rare, epic, legendary), the higher the mana cost becomes for the same level of awakening. Save your mana for your best champions rather than spending it on your entire collection.

Keep a close eye on the soul merchant
Stop by regularly at the soul trader to see what's available. It offers perfect souls and split souls in exchange for soul essence. Check your stock at least once a day, especially after a session at the Fort of the Iron Twins.
What are the essences of the eternal soul used for?
The Essences of the Eternal Soul are used to buy 5- and 6-star perfect souls from the Soul Merchant. These are what grant access to the most powerful awakenings in your soul collection. The immortal souls follow a similar logic: save them for your top-priority champions.
These resources are scarce. Save your Eternal Essences for the champions you really want. to fully awaken, not just anyone.
