Whether you're new to Diablo or a Diablo veteran, it's been a while since we've spent time in Diablo and that means some of us need a refresher. Here are some tips and tricks for beginners and veterans alike, to ensure your Diablo 4 experience is optimal!
1 – Focus on the Main Quest
There's so much to do and see in the game that it makes sense for people to get distracted. Even the most diligent gamer can see something shiny catch their eye, and before they know it, they have no idea how it got somewhere or why it got into it. hand 12 copies of the same mass.
Focusing on the main campaign is hugely appealing, especially since once you complete it, you unlock the main quest skip (and other gameplay quality upgrades!) for your entire account, regardless of regardless of difficulty and character type. It takes around 35 hours to complete the main quest at a reasonable pace, so feel free to immerse yourself in the story and save yourself some trouble later!
2 - Don't Worry About Missing A Legendary
With everything happening at the same time in the heat of the moment, it's entirely possible that you'll miss a legendary once in a while, or that you're about to pick one up when you're disconnected from the server. Don't worry, Blizzard has you covered.
Any missed Legendaries or Uniques will automatically end up in your stash, preventing you from missing epic loot. Consult it often: you never know what could have fallen right next to the screen without you noticing it.

3 – The side quests are definitely worth it
You might be thinking, "Didn't you just say focus on the main quest? Absolutely, but that doesn't mean you can't do a few side quests along the way!
Instead of running around the area you are in like a headless chicken, try to focus on specific side quests that are near your other objectives. For example, if you need to do a dungeon for a certain aspect, check to see if there is a side quest to do in or near that area (or if a side quest starts in the dungeon itself). This way you get free experience for something you've already done, and since that experience increases with your level, it adds up quickly.
4 – Elixirs exist
New to the Diablo franchise, elixirs work the same way they do in other Blizzard games: drinking one gives you a bonus for 30 minutes, depending on the type of elixir you're drinking. While the buff itself can be useful (usually a type of resistance), the real reason to remember elixirs is that each one gives you an experience bonus that persists until death as long as the elixir is active.
Although you sometimes receive elixirs as rewards from quests, don't worry about running out: a visit to the alchemist will allow you to craft as many as you want, so you'll never lose that sweet experience during your level up.
5 – You have a built-in GPS, don't forget to use it!
Many players have lamented the lack of a seamless map, but few have realized that you actually have GPS built into your map. Simply right-click anywhere you want to go to draw a navigation line showing you the shortest route to your destination.
This line is visible on your minimap when the main map is closed, which is perfect for players on the go. Just pin and enjoy!
6 – Recovery or sale – What to do with your equipment?
While many players worry about their gold earnings, wait a bit before selling all your gear.
Although Diablo 4's ending is heavily focused on crafting, which requires quite a bit of gold, you won't do that much when leveling up (at least not at high price points). Materials are just as important as gold, and in many ways harder to come by – you should consider getting your gear from a blacksmith rather than selling it, at least in some cases. If you're REALLY low on gold, a few trips with a full inventory should fix the problem quickly.
7 – Waypoints are important
It is very easy to miss a waypoint during your travels and have to travel a long way to get back to where you were supposed to be. So make sure to collect them as soon as possible (especially those located in the central cities!).
That said, if you miss an important waypoint, don't panic: your town portal teleports to each zone's main town by default, so no matter where you are, you can still rejoin civilization in case something goes wrong. . Don't forget to enter it a second time!
