The Ruins of Wyndham are located southwest of the Altus Plateau, in Elden Ring.

Guide to the Ruins of Wyndham

The Ruins of Wyndham are located southwest of the Altus Plateau, in Elden Ring. This ancient, ruined city borders the lands that separate the Gelmir Plateau.

Many buildings are half-submerged or overgrown with vegetation. If you want to explore more ruins in Elden Ring, there are several similar areas waiting for you on the map.

Location and Directions

To reach the ruins quickly, take the Dectus Elevator from Liurnia or follow the cliff path (Precipice Galleries). Once you reach the Altus Plateau, head southwest.

You can recognize the area by the standing water in the center and the crumbling stone walls. A Grace Site is located just inside the entrance to the ruins, to the north. It serves as a base for exploring the area.

The Enemies of the Ruins

You come across many skeletons scattered throughout the ruins. Some lie on the ground, waiting to get up and attack you. Others fire at you from a distance with crossbows from high ground.

A skeleton that hasn't been reduced to dust will quickly rise again. Holy damage is ideal for preventing them from resurrecting. Some of the deeper sections are also home to magma-based creatures found in this part of the plateau near Gelmir.

Battle Against the boss: The Transparent Nocher

the Nocher diaphanous (French version of the Tibia Mariner) is the boss in the Ruins of Wyndham. You'll find it in the waterlogged area, south of the ruins.

He floats on a small boat and continuously summons skeletons around the arena.
Focus your attacks directly on the boss, not on the skeletons it keeps bringing back to life.
A weapon that deals holy damage prevents skeletons from rising again and makes it easier to fight this boss.
Stay mobile: The boss teleports frequently and sweeps the area with its long boom.
Lightning is his main weakness when it comes to physical attacks. Combine lightning and sacred elements for a faster battle.
Summoning marks appear on the ground if you need help from another player.

By defeating this boss, you'll receive a root of death and the summoning spell for Tibia. The Root of Death must be given to Gurranq to unlock bestial spells.

The Sealed Dungeon and Its Loot

Near the top of the ruins, a stone staircase leads to an underground area overgrown with tree roots. A statue of an imp seals this doorway.

You need to use a stone sword key to open it. The Ruins of the Perfumers work in a similar way if you're looking for other ruins like these.

Inside, three skeletons guard a small room and a metal door. One of them is a skeleton mage.

Go down the stairs, go through the door, and open the chest behind it. You'll get the Pearl Dragon Talisman +1. The Purified ruins They also hide interesting talismans in their own underground lair.

How to get to the Wyndham Catacombs from the ruins?

At the very top of the ruins, you'll find the entrance to the Wyndham Catacombs, pressed against the side of a cliff.

Once you've defeated the translucent boss Nocher, head north from the ruins to find this passage. The Wyndham Catacombs are a separate area with their own bosss and their own loot that you won't want to miss.
