I advise you to do the fishing rod in the bivouac. I explain below how to get fiber.
To make a fishing rod:
- 1 green wood
- 1 fiber (hemp)
How to get fiber in New World?
Where to find fiber in the game?
It's simple you have to find hemp, it's a plant that can be found everywhere. I advise you the forests and the fields.
If you want specific locations: Ask us on server Discord to have a screen of the map.
What does hemp look like?
Hemp looks like a tall green plant with pink flowers at the top. (image just below)
What is the fishing rod used for?
It is used to catch fish to have fish "meat" and especially fish oil.
To fish, you have to go close to the water and do F3.
How to fish well?
You have to throw the rod as far as possible or in fish areas (raise your fisherman level to unlock the areas).
The best is to put bait by clicking on R to add some. Be careful to put the right bait.
There are freshwater baits and saltwater baits.
Where to find the bait?
They should be found under flints and in bushes when looking for wood. You can find bait for your fishing rod.
What is fish oil used for and where can I find it?
Fish oil is used for quests.
To get some, just catch fish and then recycle them by doing S + left click.
So you will have to sin to be able to do it.
