Highlights of Update 4.60 on Raid Shadow Legends

Hey, everyone!

A new raid update is coming, and it's a big update. We have a number of champions joining the roster, including the winner of the Community Champion Concept Contest! - but it's just an extra to go along with the new Tower of Doom rotation. Two brutal bosss like you've never seen before, two sets of awesome artifacts, and a huge number of rebalanced levels await! On top of all that, we're going to be tweaking the recently introduced Clan Quests and Shop. Read on to find out a bit more and prepare yourself.

Doom 3 tower rotation
We've already mentioned that there are 3 Tower of Fate rotations we want to add to the game, and this will be the last one for now. As before, previous rotations will not simply disappear. We'll cycle through them to make sure the Tower of Destiny offers different challenges and doesn't run out.

You can expect to see some of the old bosss appear on different floors, but their affinity will be different. Most normal floors will be rebalanced and offer a different set of enemies to fight and defeat. Finally, there will also be new requirements for secret rooms.

But the main attraction of this third rotation is the pair of terrifying new Bosses that you will have to face. Let's introduce them!

Bommal the Dreadhorn

Bommal only thinks of bombs. There's a ton of them to place on your team, not to mention the creepy Dreadbombs that can't be stopped in any way. To make matters worse, he can also rob your champions of all their buffs if their resistance isn't high enough, and he'll retaliate with bombs if you try to debuff him.

So the things you'll need the most are resistance, healing, and someone who can reliably freeze Dreadbombs to make sure they don't hurt as much when they explode. Try to limit the debuffs you place on Bommal, though you can use Champions that extend the duration of debuffs if you're feeling brave and timing them well. Finally, you can use your own bombs, which is one of Bommal's biggest vulnerabilities.

The fight is going to be tough either way, but the Dreadhorn Plates you'll earn will allow you to craft the new Fortitude Artifact Set, which offers a significant bonus to Resistance (+40) and Defense (+10%) ) of its bearer. And since it's a 2-piece set, they stack together really well!

Astranyx the Dark Fae

Astranyx is the second Boss you'll encounter in the new rotation, and he also has some unique gameplay mechanics to use against your team. She begins the battle concealed by a perfect Veil buff and has exact copies of your champions fighting alongside her. She will also be able to banish your champions. This is a new status effect that removes the affected champion from combat: they can no longer take damage, be targeted by buffs or buffs, etc. The only way to bring them back is to destroy their mirror copy, which Astranyx creates. Finally, Astranyx receives different bonuses depending on the affinities present in your team.

The perfect team composition is the key to defeating her. You need to be sure you can beat your own champions before they destroy you with your own tricks – make sure you have plenty of damage, reliable crowd control, and a well-tuned turn order. You get the first turn as the attacker (unless Astranyx is faster!), and lowering the 'mirror team' turn counter would give you a huge advantage.

The Fae Spheres you get from defeating Astranyx will allow you to craft the Deadly Artifact Set. This is a 4-piece set that allows the wearer to ignore 25% of the target's defense and grants them a 10% bonus C. RATE – great for any self-respecting damage doer.

Clan changes

As always, we've been closely monitoring player feedback after Update 4.50 went live. Our initial goal was to come up with a new activity that would inspire Clan members to cooperate and grow their Clan together, but we underestimated a few pitfalls. Based on your feedback, we are taking steps to rectify these issues and get new Clan activities back on track with our original vision.

First of all, we never intended for clan members to compete for clan quests and we are going to take steps to ensure that this is no longer necessary:

• The 90 clan quests will be available to all clans, without prerequisites.
• Elite clan quests are available to all clans from level 1.

Of course, you should always cooperate for the best results, and it's up to the clan leaders to set the rules for teamwork. Additionally, we will increase the rewards for completing Clan Quests:

• Basic Clan Quests will award 100 Clan Gold (was 50).
• Expert Clan Quests will reward 200 Clan Gold (was 150).
• Elite clan quests will reward 350 clan gold (was 300).

So while some clan quests will indeed be easier to complete than others, higher level challenges will offer greater rewards.

Finally, slots 3 and 5 of the clan shop will no longer offer affinity potions. We added chests containing revenge accessories (5 % chance to counterattack when hit) instead.

We hope these measures will resolve some of the issues that have arisen with the new clan activities! But we're still keeping an eye on all of this and you can expect more tweaks in the future – don't forget to leave your feedback in the comments!

New champions:

Kalvalax as the Duke of Doom

Those of you who attended the Community Champion Concept Contest may recognize Kalvalax as the Duke of Destiny – the winning entry is the work of the talented David Fitzsimmons! As promised, our artists have tweaked the concept slightly, and now Kalvalax is ready to put his blade to work for you in the world of Raid: Shadow Legends.

David will of course receive this champion for free as a reward for winning the contest, but Kalvalax will soon be added to the summon pool.
