For this quest, draw a red flare towards the sky from the center of the old Bois sawmill. Ensure that it reaches a sufficient height to validate the objective.
You can use the Mechanic's RSP-30 hand-held distress flare (red), or a 26 x 75 mm flare ammunition (red) to ZiD SP-81 distress pistol (available from the Level 3 Merchant). If you use the latter, aim high but not too high, to prevent it from falling behind you.
