• MP-133 12-gauge pump-action shotgun

• MP-155 12-gauge semi-automatic rifle

Ambushes or close combat are recommended. At a distance, the loss of damage, inaccuracy, and recoil of shotguns can compromise your chances of success.

At the start of the game, standard armor blocks most shotgun bullets. As high-level ammunition is scarce, you'll often use basic ammunition to your disadvantage.

Choose your shotgun based on its accuracy and magazine capacity. The MP-18 is accurate but slow to reload and single-shot, requiring strict fire management. However, it uses powerful 7.62 x 54R ammunition against basic armor and can be equipped with an affordable scope.

The MP-153 offers excellent basic accuracy and is semi-automatic with several barrel lengths available. Scope mounting is limited (bracket and rail required). The long barrel enhances accuracy and naturally reduces recoil.

The choice between shells and slugs depends on your style, but shotgun accuracy is crucial with shells, especially at long range, to avoid low damage.

In close combat, the lack of space and head protection is a disadvantage (Scav vest and Ushanka). Manage your space well for health packs, ammunition, and sometimes grenades. Scavs armed with low-caliber weapons can be a threat to the head, especially in the confined spaces of Customs where they are more accurate.

Use the MP-18 for long distance, the MP-153 for close and medium-range combat, and the sawed-off MP-43 as a handgun for versatile play. The MP-18 excels at distance, the MP-153 for rapid fire, and the sawed-off MP-43 for surprising power on slow reloads.

Choose any MP shotgun, but compensate for its shortcomings in combat. Their slow reload speed is a common feature. Rushed shots at close range leave you vulnerable to aggressive attacks. Focus on discipline and accuracy rather than reflexive shooting.
