In the civilized realms of Teleria, commoners and nobles alike fear skinwalkers, creatures of nightmare, half-man, half-beast, bloodthirsty and infamous. Once a slave in the mines owned by the mage-barons, the creature quickly learned that might makes right and only the strongest survive. Worse still, when the meager rations given to the slaves proved insufficient for the great beast's mass, it began to seek other sources of food. At first, the corpses of his companions in misfortune, victims of forced labor or the cruelty of their supervisors, are enough for him. Then the murders started. By the time we noticed it, the one we were going to call the butcher took the opportunity to escape in a bloody way.
