History of Chasse-Grelot
Once a modest mortal in the elven kingdom of Aravia, the Tinsel Hunter led an honest life. He did no harm to others and sought only to bring joy to all. Thanks to his selfless devotion to others, many lives were improved, sometimes even saved.
Never a true soldier at heart, he nevertheless learned the art of the bow and stood up to evil without fear. It was this kindness that saved his life and gave him a new sense of purpose. Lost in the mountains of despair at the winter solstice, the hunter had almost given up hope when the joyful sound of tinkling bells roused him from his frost-induced slumber.
At first he couldn't believe his eyes, for Sir Nicholas' stories were well known among the High Elves, and the poor hunter thought it was all a dream. But when Lumaya's servant set foot on the icy cliffs and the cold dissipated by his will alone, the elf fell to his knees and praised the goddess.
But this miraculous rescue was only the beginning. The hunter's heart was pure and honest, and Sir Nicholas gave him the chance to serve the law of Lumaya and bring hope to all who would accept his light. Without hesitation, the jolly elf accepted. Known as Jinglehunter, he now rides into the night with Sir Nicholas every winter solstice.
