Some say that mortals once existed, before Siroth's servants arrived in Teleria. Driven by fear or ambition, the nobles made a terrible pact to preserve their status, but at a high price: their souls. The servants of Lumaya claim that any mortal foolish enough to sign such a pact lives in torment, their consciousness trapped in suffocating, eternal darkness.
