History of Prêtre Croc

It would be difficult to identify a central religion that binds the Byzantine society of the Dark Elves, as their loyalty lies first, last, and always with themselves. Far more attuned to the mystical ways of Teleria than the primitive tribes of barbarians or monstrous humanoids such as Orcs and Ogryns, these cunning exiles are under no illusions that spirits or ancient entities are true gods – even though the power they wield in the mortal realm is immense.

Of course, these powers can be used to one's advantage, and many Dark Elves are content to pay lip service to the various magical beings. Some, however, go further. Fangs clerics worship various spirits whose strength is drawn from blood and death.

Many members of the "clergy" are former assassins and have sought the help of their protectors in the past when hunting down their victims. Thus, these fangs, as they call themselves, retain many of their old habits and skills, preferring to work in the shadows.

The blessings they bestow can conceal the presence of an ally or turn the enemy's spells to the advantage of the cleric Fang. Some are even capable of summoning the spirits of murder and appeasing their hunger by promising them greater sacrifices in exchange for the life of a recently fallen ally.
