Muffled rumors speak of a beast on the prowl, a terrible monster born of the Shadow. It sneaks into dark corners, where Lumaya's light doesn't reach, and doesn't make itself seen until it's too late. His sharp claws tear through steel and flesh, and the beast strikes at such lightning speed that his unfortunate victims never have the chance to realize where their death has come from.
Candraphon - though few know its name - is that abomination, and much of what is whispered about it is neither myth nor exaggeration, but nightmarish truth. He is an ancient Demonspawn, whose origins lie far beyond the kingdom of Teleria.
What drives it is difficult for a mortal mind to comprehend, but a malevolent intelligence lies behind the seemingly barbaric acts of butchery. The truth is simple, but no less disturbing. Candraphon is a predator.
A prowler who regards the mortal realms as his hunting ground, and the lesser creatures who live there as prey to be slaughtered whenever he chooses. To catch the gaze of this demon's burning eyes is to expose oneself to a swift and brutal death, for Candraphon delights above all in victory over worthy prey.
