History of Haruspex

Une grande partie de l’ancienne civilisation des hommes-lézards est en ruines, divisée en tribus primitives qui, au fil des siècles, sont devenues bestiales. Mais des vestiges de leur culture subsistent encore sous la forme de souvenirs et de traditions qui peuvent survivre à d’innombrables générations.

Les Haruspices en sont un excellent exemple. Ce sont des prêtres héréditaires qui transmettent le savoir des ancêtres et servent le Grand Dragon, la divinité principale des hommes-lézards. Plus précisément, ces prêtres sont formés à la divination, à la lecture du destin et à l’exploitation de ses fils afin d’obtenir le résultat le plus souhaitable pour leurs proches ou leurs alliés.

Comme tous les hommes-lézards, cependant, ils ont du sang de guerrier dans les veines. Bien qu’ils ne soient pas aussi forts que d’autres, ils ne sont pas des adversaires à négliger. Un Haruspex transporte souvent des armes ou des mélanges empoisonnés qui peuvent être utilisés pour affaiblir un ennemi, et la connaissance d’une incantation mineure peut donner du pouvoir aux Champions qui se battent à ses côtés.
