No one can deny that the Dwarves fought Siroth's forces with valour and determination, and no one would question their final victory. Alas, treachery is everywhere, and some have sullied the honor of their people. Some renegades submitted to demons, made infamous pacts and sold their souls.
Despite the dispersal and flight of the legions of the damned, some of these demon worshippers still survive in the darkest recesses of the underground caverns. And some have even found their way to the surface. Twisted in body and spirit, the Painsmith still clings to his dark loyalties. He managed to escape from death row, where he had been imprisoned for his treason.
With his guards dead and his trail lost, he now roams Teleria like a hungry wolf. Though not without strength, this champion of evil relishes any opportunity to strike an unsuspecting foe and inflict as much pain as possible before he can strike back. Worse still, his
