Story of Suwai the Elder (Suwai Firstborn)
Not much is known about the female spear warrior who calls herself Suwai Firstborn. She hails from the far reaches of the Deadlands, where unforgiving desert gives way to the murmuring plains of Savannah and, further north, to resilient forests and treacherous swamps. Although rich in game and even offering tracts of arable land, this region is dangerous to colonize. Packs of savage lizardmen often roam the plains – and especially the lands near their sacred swamps and lakes – killing strangers at will. Suwai sometimes talks about her difficult childhood, the spear she used as soon as she was strong enough to train, and the hated beasts that took the lives of many members of her family. It speaks above all of revenge and of debts paid in blood. Indeed, Suwai Firstborn is a vicious warrior whose anger is dark and easy to lift. When she fights, she gives everything she has, striking down her foes with ruthless grace and spurting fountains of blood with each stroke of her spear. The death surrounding him seems to propel Suwai to greater martial feats, his attacks becoming more powerful and precise as his unlucky foes fall to the ground.
