Witch guide and advice on Lost Ark

PRESENTATION :

Welcome everyone, today's guide is about the witch.
The witch is part of the mage archetype, and will require placement and understanding of the boss paterns in order to cope and succeed in your rotation.

She uses her arcane gauge as a utility to either boost her arcane or to teleport.

As the witch is in the mage archetype, her gameplay will be semi-distance or even distance on certain spells, so pay particular attention to your placement.

Here is a table of stats to help you understand :

It has two engravings:

  • reflux for consistent gameplay
  • ignition for burst gameplay

We will now detail these engravings and propose a build with

A small disclaimer: never forget that predefined builds can be changed at will, but some spells will be more or less mandatory depending on the update or boss you launch. Keep an eye out for new patches so you can modify your spells in real time.

 

ENGRAVING 1: Reflux

Reflux is the class engraving that allows you to be sure of constant damage. A small disclaimer: constant means yes, but you'll have to cast, analyze well before starting your rotation.

Note that when you use this engraving, you no longer have the ability to use your ID 1, which allows you to burst.

Reflux grants you at level 1 8% of damage and 3 % of cdr, at level 2 it grants you 12 % of damage and 6% of cdr and finally at level 3 reflux grants you 16% of damage and 10% of cdr.

Here is a build that won't take long casting time

On this build, you have a group damage bonus of 6% for 8 sec. To achieve this, always use flame before casting your spells, and you have a second combo which consists of using cold call to increase your ice arrow damage by 15% for 2 sec.

In reflux, you can also add a casting time spell to accentuate the impact you can have, but this build will require you to be much more meticulous about your movements and placement.

Witch-6

On this build, the same principle applies: you'll need to use flame before your spells to get the 6% damage boost for 8 sec. Beware, however, of bomb/the end of the world/scourge which have casting time despite the reduction thanks to your gravure.

For your combat upgrades, it would be preferable to use 70% cc and 30% speed, which will enable you to increase your damage while reducing the cdr.

ENGRAVING 1: Ignition

Ignition will be the engraving that allows you to do burst damage. This time, your utility will be indispensable before any burst manipulation, and you'll have spells to increase your arcane gauge. You'll need to learn your opponents' paterns to make sure you know when and how to launch your burst.

Here is an example build:

You will have the same ''flame'' spell as on the first engraving, which will increase your damage.
the cold call and ice arrow combo is still possible too

what's going to change this time in the way you play is that you'll have to add your magic discharge utility.

So your combo would be:

  • Magic discharge – flame and your burst spells
  • magic discharge – cold call – ice arrow

Here is an example rune you could use

For your combat upgrades, it's best to use 70% speciality and 30% cc, which will enable you to increase resource gain while reducing cdr.

To conclude, the two engravings are both used, so it's up to you to decide whether you want to play burst or constant damage. Be careful with your placement and you'll bring a good 6% damage bonus to the group.
