Welcome to this guide to the relentless salvo! The Hawkeye is a fragile archer, but he's highly mobile and very free in terms of positioning, so even if he can't take a hit, he's not often in danger. Its excellent range enables it to load shots with exceptional damage.
His pet is his identity skill, and when you touch it with your skills, you charge the pet's bar. Once it's full, you can summon it. The pet attacks on its own, and has 2 skills, one an aoe whirlwind, the other a final sacrifice that ends the bird's life.

In terms of stats, you'll get a lot of natural critical bonuses when playing hawk, via your tripods. As patches go by, you'll be aiming for a 70% speed / 30% critical ratio. But in the beginning, don't hesitate to go for something more balanced. Speed allows you to recover your skills more quickly and move faster. It's up to you to find the right balance for you over time.
ENGRAVING 2: Mortal Strike
The Deadly Strike engraving invites you to sacrifice the falcon to gain up to +40% of increased damage for 8s. You'll still need to use your skills frequently to raise the falcon's gauge, and having the first Faithful Companion engraving at level 1, for example, will help you do this. But above all, you'll want to optimize your burst phases during the 8s after a sacrifice.
