While some claim that they offer a real opportunity to open your own account with a real subscription, make sure that this is only done via the official website before taking part, or passing on your confidential information to third parties. You'll avoid the risk of legal action (the real owner will eventually find out).
It's also good to know how to distinguish real communication from Netflix (e-mail or SMS) :
- They will never ask you to respond directly with personal information (Payment card numbers, Bank details or Netflix passwords), if necessary, they will redirect you to the official site.
- They will never ask you to make a payment through a third-party provider or site.
- If it redirects you to a questionable URL, avoid pressing or clicking on the link, and above all, be careful not to provide any personal data if you do not recognize the website (in case you entered it).
