Even if there is no (or not yet) Quidditch in Hogwarts Legacy, players will nevertheless be entitled to a variant, allowing them to apply the flying techniques unlocked during the flight lesson with Madame Kogawa in the sixth act of the game. This is an opportunity to learn how to move much faster in the game's vast open world, while participating in flight-related side quests.

Similar to side quest: Flight tests, unlocked after purchasing your first broomstick, the one called Flying Over the Competition is the second flight-related side quest in Hogwarts Legacy, which involves beating Imelda's time in the Southern Broom Trial. You will have access to it by having completed the first flight side quest, if you have completed the trial of Percival Rackham in the main story.

The quest begins when you return to Bôbalais in Hogsmeade to request an upgrade to your broom from Albie. This one will cost 1,000 Galleons, which may mean you have to sell some of your gear you no longer need to be able to afford it, but for that, Albie is willing to buy your gear even if he doesn't. will not resell in his store.
Following payment for the upgrade for your broomstick, Albie will ask you to take a test by trying to beat the time achieved by Imelda Reyes in the flight test south of Hogwarts. The trial takes place just north of the town of Irondale, where the Connecting Vessels side quest takes place. If you've never been there in the game, and haven't yet activated the fast travel point for this area, you'll just need to head south from Hogwarts to get there.
As in the flight test of the other side quest, you must start with a conversation with Imelda. There will be fewer rings to cross than in the other race, but the course is a bit longer, and the time to beat is 2:26:22. There will also be a difference of more yellow orbs, of which each row of speed boosters has four instead of three, which will help you gain better speed between the rings if you manage to hit all the orbs.
Try to line up with the Speed Boosters rather than hitting them at an angle, as this could throw you off course and prevent you from passing a ring or two. Missing one or two rings shouldn't be too much though, just that you'll have 3 seconds to make up for each missed ring, but this penalty shouldn't prevent you from completing the lap of the course.
When you've broken Imelda's record, you'll stop to have a quick chat with her, then return to Hogsmeade to join Albie through the fast travel point. Albie won't offer you a reward for this quest, although he's very grateful for the flight data you gave him the other time, but you'll get the 180 XP.
