Hogwarts Legacy: How to learn the Depulso spell

Learning new spells is the most exciting aspect of Hogwarts Legacy. Discovering new spells and then using them in battle to defeat enemies or duel alongside your friends is an exhilarating experience.

The Depulso spell is a powerful banishing charm that will greatly assist players during in-game battles. Since your character is a fifth-year student at Hogwarts, each professor has agreed to give extra homework and teach new spells to make up for previous years.

Professor Sharp, a former Auror who teaches Potions at Hogwarts, asks you to complete an assignment to learn the Depulso spell. Let's see how it goes.

Hogwarts Legacy: Depulso, when does the learning begin?

Learning the Depulso spell in Hogwarts Legacy begins after completing the main quest of Richard Jackdaw's Rest, which triggers Professor Sharp's first mission:

• Buy and use a focus potion.
• Buy and use Maxima and Edurus potions simultaneously.

These three potions are sold at J. Pippin's Potions Shop in Hogsmeade, of which the Concentration Potion is 500 Galleons, and the Maxima and Edurus Potions are 300 Galleons each.

So you just have to go there to buy and use them. You can drink all three and come back to potions class, or wait until you're in the middle of a fight to use them as buffs.

It is also possible to prepare the potion yourself, in which case recipes are available from J. Pippin's Potions, although these cost a little more. The concentration potion recipe alone, for example, costs 1,200 gallons.

After using all three potions, return to Professor Sharp and attend the morning class. After that, the Ex-Auror will teach you the Depulso spell, a banishment spell in Hogwarts Legacy used to knock enemies back.

Preparation of requested potions

Each potion provides a buff that wears off after a short duration. The preparation of each of the three potions of Hogwarts Legacy requires specific ingredients as follows:

• Focus Potion (Reduces drinker spell cooldown):
  • caterpillar flies : Commonly found in open fields.
  • Stream grass stem : it can be found in seed form at The Magic Neep store (Can be planted in a Large Pot).
  • Dugbog's Tongue : Obtained by killing a Dugbog, which is a common enemy in the Forbidden Forest.
• Maximum Potion (Increases drinker spell damage for a limited time)
  • leech juice : Found near any water's edge.
  • spider fang : Obtained after defeating a spider, commonly found underground in the Forbidden Forest.
• Edurus Potion (Enhances drinker's defense by covering them with durable rocky skin)
  • Ashwinder Eggs : Found in Abandoned Camps.
  • dog fur : Obtained after defeating a mongrel dog.

Although it is not necessary to purchase the recipe and prepare the potions, and it requires more effort, it may be beneficial in the long run, as these potions will certainly be needed later on to improve your defense and spell damage against tougher opponents in the game.
