To remember:
- Hogwarts Legacy lets you sell equipment for galleons.
- You can sell items to certain NPCs in Hogsmeade, notably Thomas Brown's store.
- You can change the appearance of any equipment, even if it has been sold or destroyed.
Hogwarts Legacy allows players to earn gold (galleons) in exchange for their old equipment. At the start of the game, you'll be given a standard student outfit. As the story progresses, you'll gain access to a wide range of outfits and equipment, some of which can improve your defense, health and attack stats. However, some of these accessories may not be to your liking.
That's why we're going to look at ways of selling them to make money. At the same time, you'll be able to free up valuable space in your inventory. And don't forget to solve the puzzle of the villager's grave you find along the way.

How to sell your equipment in Hogwarts Legacy
Hogwarts Legacy doesn't have a menu for selling items, so you'll have to go to some of them. NPC to do so. Immediately after your first lessons at Hogwarts, you will be asked to make your first visit to Pré-au-Lard to buy some supplies with another student in your class.
Where can I sell items and equipment?
There are a number of stores and boutiques to explore in the town, but you should look first at the one at Thomas Brown (the Tomes and Scrolls store), where you can exchange any items you no longer need for galleons. You can also visit other stores in Hogsmeade, where you can get rid of your items in exchange for galleons. What's more, the values of the items exchanged will remain the same for all vendors.
After starting a discussion with a salesperson:
- Change the Buy section to Sell by pressing the R1 button on your joystick.
- You'll see the total value of your equipment items and the value of each item individually in the Sell section.
- Select the item of equipment you wish to sell, then confirm the sale.
Destroy or sell your items in Hogwarts Legacy
Hogwarts Legacy : The Hogwarts Legacy is a role-playing game developed by Avalanche Software that takes you on a 19th-century adventure in the world of Harry Potter.
