The Companions
These are the characters that accompany you in the house where you will go:
- Natsai Onai: Gryffindor
- Amit Thakkar: Ravenclaw
- Poppy Sweeting: Hufflepuff
- For Slytherin, it would be Sebastian Pallow (Sallow in English)
Professors
Teachers will, of course, ensure the transmission of all the knowledge a wizard needs, especially to the 5th-year students you'll be part of in the game. Among the teachers in Hogwarts Legacy, the following stand out in particular:
- Phineas Nigellus Black: Sirius Black's great-grandfather, he's Hogwarts' qualified principal, and its least favorite.
- Matilda Wisley: Assistant manager and exceptionally gifted witch, she's in charge of placing the token on your head at the start of the game.
- Eleazar Fig: Teaches Magical Theory, he is also a key figure in Ranrok's attack.
- Abraham Ronen: A very cheerful character who teaches Spells.

The spirits
As a castle in a fantasy world, Hogwarts is also known for the spirits and ghosts that reside there:
- The Ghost of Professor Cuthbert: He is located in his classroom to teach the history of magic.
- Nearly Headless Nick: Ghost of Gryffindor House, a fairly friendly character as seen in the books that players can interact with in-game.
- Peeves Will: This incorrigible poltergeist is known to be a disruptive element in Hogwarts castle. Thanks to a physical body, he can come into direct contact with his victims and create a mess.
- The Bloody Baron: Appears as a cheerful ghost despite his violent past. Although his appearances are not common, his presence is undeniable.

- Fastidio : the perfect reincarnation that not all Harry Potter spirits are friendly. Fastidio is scary, and has a tendency to terrorize anyone who comes his way.
- Dame Grise : one of Hogwarts' most important ghosts. As she's a bit fragile, you'll sometimes hear her cry or see her in the corridors.
The antagonists
As in all other games, you will also encounter antagonists in Hogwarts Legacy:.
- Ranrok: A goblin who is one of the game's main antagonists, renowned for leading the Goblin Rebellion to prey on wizarding humans.
- Victor Rookwood: A dark wizard who allied himself with Ranrok and helped him achieve his plans.
- Theophilius Harlow: Victor Rookwood's right-hand man, which probably explains why we never see them without each other.
Various characters
- Deek: He is a house elf who appears in the quest "The Elf, the Catching Sack and the Loom" to capture beasts.
- Mrs. Cassandra Mason: A character who lived in 1890, owner of the haunted shop in Hogsmeade.

Les Gobelins:
- Goblin banker This poor banker is in charge of private access to safe deposit box number 12 at Gringotts Bank. He doesn't have much work to do, that is, until you arrive, and then he takes you to the safe.
- Pergit: Lead a troop to attack and plunder the merchants. To do this, they hide under the rubble of Korrow, endangering Campolard-du-bas.
- Belgruff: a violent goblin who is causing anxiety in the Feldcroft region.
