You can download movies and TV shows Netflix directly from the’mobile appon Android as on iPhone. The download icon (a downward-pointing arrow) appears next to each piece of available content, and you can find your videos in the dedicated tab to watch them offline.

Download Netflix on Windows via the Microsoft Store
Open the Microsoft Store from the search bar at the bottom of your screen, then click on the app Netflix to install it. You can then log in to your account and stream your movies and TV shows.
An important note: Offline downloads are no longer available on PC Windows. Since July 2024, Netflix has replaced its native app with a web app based on Microsoft Edge. This version is still available on the Microsoft Store, but it no longer supports downloads.
On Windows, the application Netflix so it's now only used for streaming. To save movies and TV shows on a device and watch them offline, you'll need a smartphone or a tablet : Android, iPhone, iPad, or one Apple Silicon Mac (M1 and later) via the iOS app.
Search Netflix
In the Microsoft Store, click the tab Search in the upper-right corner of your screen. Type Netflix in the search bar to find the official app.
Make sure you're selecting the app published by Netflix, Inc., not a copy. It's the only reliable version available on the store at Windows.
Install the app
Once on the Microsoft Store, here's how to install the app:
- Select the’application Netflix in the store's search results.
- Click on the button Obtenir to start downloading.
- When the installation is complete, click Lancer to open the app.
Log in to your account
Once you've opened the app, enter your login information: your mail address and your password. It's the same account as on your phone Android, your iPhone or your tablet.
Next, choose your profile to view your recommendations and your list. The download is still linked to your active subscription : Without a logged-in account, you can't download a single track.
Don't have an account yet? First, you need to’register on the website of Netflix and select a plan. If you forget your password, use the recovery link on the login screen or the help center.
Search for videos to download
In the app Netflix, open the menu at the bottom of the screen, then tap Downloads. Then press Find titles to download to view the available selection.
Choose the movie or TV show you're interested in. Open its details page, then tap the’download icon (the down arrow). The content will download to your device, ready to watch offline.
For a series, you download episodes one by one. In the app settings, you can also enable the automatic download so you can download the next episodes without even thinking about it.
Before starting multiple downloads, make sure your device has enough’storage space. Some useful tips:
- Some titles are unavailable : Depending on studio agreements, some movies and TV shows do not display the download icon. Check the help center Netflix if a title cannot be downloaded.
- Adjust video quality In the app settings: Higher quality uses more’storage space on your device.
- Download via Wi-Fi to avoid using up your mobile data plan.
- Use the latest version of the app Netflix to access all download options.
To find your videos, go back to Downloads and start playing, even without an internet connection. To free up space, delete the titles you've already watched.
How many downloads? When do they expire?
Downloaded titles expire between 7 and 30 days according to the studios' agreements. Once playback begins, the content is no longer available after 48 hours.
The number of simultaneous downloads is limited based on your subscription: 15 per month For the ad-supported plan (quota resets on the 1st of the month), up to 100 tracks per device for the other plans.
