If you have a problem with your internet connection, updating its network card might be a better idea. To do this, here are the steps to follow:
- To get started, type cmd on your search bar;
- Then right-click on Command Prompt;
- Then, click run as administrator (for your information, you cannot run tasks if you are not an administrator);
- Now you will need an administrator code;
- On the window that opens, type devmgmt.msc, then click Enter;
- The device manager will appear, look for the network card;
- A whole list will appear, find your network card. To do this, identify your network card through the code 802. (An extension, which is the Wi-fi standard);
- Right-click on the network card, then update the driver;
- Then automatically search for drivers;
- Windows will tell you if the most recent version is available;
- Install this version;
- And finally restart your computer to apply the changes.
Once these steps are completed, your network card will be up to date and you can use it for your internet connections and for the card to perform its usual procedure.
