Greetings from Plarium!

With update 7.50 fast approaching, it's time to take a closer look at the content it will bring to Raid. Only one major feature will be available, but its importance cannot be underestimated; after all, we are introducing a new champion rarity! Mythic Champions are ready to enter the fray and boast much more than just increased stats—read on if you want to learn more.

Mythical champions

The basics

Mythic Champions are the newest and highest-ranked Champions in Raid: Shadow Legends as of update 7.50, and their utility is one of their greatest strengths. Each Mythic Champion can change forms: Base Form and Alternate Form. These forms have different abilities; sometimes they even change the Champion's type, and switching between forms can completely change the Champion's gameplay.

This mechanism is called Metamorphosis. When activated, the champion changes form, all skill cooldowns are reset (except for the Metamorph skill), and they gain an extra turn. Unless otherwise specified, the champion's HP percentage remains the same (but the numerical value may increase or decrease depending on the HP stat between the base form and the alternate form), and all buffs and debuffs remain in place.

The exact details of shape-shifting abilities differ from champion to champion. For example, Siegfrund the Nephilim can only shift from his base form to his alternate form when his last ally falls in battle, while Gharol Bloodmaul has shape-shifting as an active ability that he can use at will. Check out the New Champions section to see these differences for yourself. Also, keep in mind that Mythic Champions always start battles in their base form, but you can see both forms in the Collection, Index, and other tabs.

It is also important to remember that equipment, masteries, and blessings do not change between these two forms, so be sure to take this into account when equipping Mythic champions.

Primordial shards

A new type of Shard will be available: the Primal Shard, which allows you to summon rare, epic, legendary, and mythic champions of any affinity, except for the Void, from this Shard. At the time of the 7.50 release, Mythic champions from the Void will not be available in raids. If this changes, we will be sure to let you know in advance.

You can also craft Primal Shards with 100 units of Primal Quartz, which you can obtain from Hydra Confrontation chests and other events. In addition, we have a major new feature in the works—it's a secret, so no spoilers for now!—that will allow players to earn a special Mythic Champion and Primordial Shards as rewards.

Mythic champion drop rate :

Please note that this information has not been confirmed by Alucare!

We have two pieces of information:

The first one is a mix of Antique + nothing, but with a boost on epics:

  • rare = 83%
  • Epic = 16%
  • Legendary = 0.5%
  • Mythic = 0.5%

The second when it's like an ancient spark or nothingness:

  • Rare = 91%
  • epic = 8%
  • Legendary = 0.5%
  • Mythic = 0.5%

Improving mythical champions:

Mythic champions are summoned at rank 6 and do not require further rank upgrades, but everything else is essentially the same. They earn XP in the same way and can be raised, awakened, and empowered like all other champions. However, they cannot be unbound and will not be available in the Altar of Souls wish list, at least for now.

Skills are upgraded separately for each form, but the average number of mythical skill tomes (a new rarity of skill tomes supplied with champions) you'll need to maximize both will be more or less the same as the number of legendary skill tomes you'll need to maximize a legendary champion, you can just choose to focus on one form or spread the tomes evenly.

That's pretty much it for the main aspects of the Mythic Champions, but we've also released a preview video to give you a glimpse of how they look in-game. Check it out if you'd like!

Various
Minor adjustments to the Champions screen user interface: the Champion Story button will be grayed out if the champion does not have a story available in the game. Additionally, the Champion Story and Reviews buttons will switch places on the Champion Summon screen.
