Patch Notes (23.03.22) Update 5.30

Champion skins, updated skill instructions, and more!

As many of you know, the bulk of Raid's development team is based in Ukraine, and given the current situation, development has been impacted by many of our team members found unable to work. However, we have since made efforts to relocate as many of us as possible, and are now returning to work as safely as possible. We thank you for your support and patience.

We're currently working on a few major features that will be added in the near future, and we'll be sure to share more details as soon as we can. In the meantime, we managed to finish everything we had planned for the now-delayed 5.30.0 release, and here it is.

In this update, we've added Champion Skins, made some changes to Clan Store items (like adding a whole new set of Artifacts, as well as Champion Shards for Yakarl the Scourge) , added new Skill Instruction functions, rebalanced some Champions, and made some quality of life updates. Everything is here :

Champion Skins

Skins allow you to change a champion's appearance to suit your style and preferences. Skins will change how a champion looks in your collection and in every fight they fight, but won't affect their stats or performance in any way – they're style points only.

There are three rarities of Skins:

• Classic
• Heroic
• Iconic

Classic skins are the standard skins that all champions have when you first summon them. It's their classic look, and we think they'll never go out of style.

Heroic skins can be obtained through events, tournaments, the Clan Store, and other in-game activities. Iconic skins are the rarest in the game, and currently they can only be obtained through through limited special offers in the store.

And, like champions, you'll be able to collect skin shards in addition to getting an entire skin all at once.

Receiving a new Skin is a privilege that not all champions will have. We'll be adding more skins over time, but the first lucky champion to receive a fresh coat of paint will be theArbitrator, which will receive three entirely new skins that will transform its appearance.

The arbiter's "Darkfallen" skin will be available in shards in the Clan Store from March 29 (after the next refresh).

The referee skins "Jade Serpent" and "Prophet of Lumaya" will soon be available in the Limited Specials tab of the store.

Oh, and in case you're wondering: no, you won't lose a Skin if you sacrifice your only copy of a Champion you've collected a Skin for; and yes, you can use the same Skin on each of your duplicates of a Champion at the same time.

Clan Shop Update

We've added Chaos Ore, Champion Fragments for Yakarl the Scourge, and two new chests with Killstroke Artifacts to the item pool. We also moved a few items, including Skill Tomes.

Yakarl the Scourge is a legendary barbarian attacker who, coincidentally, is getting a significant buff in this update.

You will benefit from the same offer as with Yannica: Champion Shards will be available in specific slots in the Clan Store and can be purchased for Clan Gold. And better yet, Yakarl will not replace Yannica. Both will be available in the Clan Store at the same time.

The Killstroke Artifact Set will grant your champions +20% in Crit DMG and +5% in SPD for every 2 Artifacts equipped. This is a simple yet powerful set that anyone who deals damage will appreciate.

Updated Skill Instructions (AI)

We know many of you have been asking for more control over your champions through skill instructions, and that's what we're giving you. You will now be able to set different skill instructions for each round of a battle.

This should give you great flexibility in Campaign Battles, Dungeons, Faction Wars, and Tower of Woe. All you have to do is select rounds 1, 2 or 3 in the skill instructions and then configure everything as you wish.

Faction War Super Raids

We are going to enable Super Raids in Faction War. Super Raids allow you to save time farming and massively speed up your progress.

Super Raids use twice as many Crypt Keys at once, but give twice the rewards in the time it takes to do a single raid. Super raids are completely optional: to activate them, you must check the corresponding box in the team selection interface.

Super Raids will be enabled in Faction Wars for an entire month starting March 24 at 11:30 UTC.

Multi-battle mode in Faction Wars

Save even more time raiding faction crypts using multi-battle mode. We've also made it so you can collect up to 18 Crypt Keys at a time, so you can collect your 6 Advanced Quest Keys (in addition to your 12 Daily Keys) before heading into the Super Raids in multi-battle mode. However, you will only start each day with 12 Crypt Keys after each reset.

Champion Rebalancing

Game experience improvements

• Multi-battle attempt packs are now added to your inbox separately after you obtain them. This means you'll be able to pick them up one at a time rather than having to collect them all at once.
• Fixed a bug where the Arbiter would not use his skills as instructed when fighting Skullcrown.
• Fixed a bug where Urost would spin in circles after attacking enemies with his default skill (Brass Knuckles).
• The blue lightning bolt VFX around Sir Nicholas is now center aligned.
• Fixed a bug due to which Dreadhorn bombs remained in the battle after exploding.
• Al now correctly heals allies when Conellia uses her Revitalizing Rest skill.
• Ascension no longer counts towards the “Get 5 Epic Champions” and “Get 10 Rare Champions” clan quests.
• Fixed an error that occurred when collecting rewards from Versus in CvC tournaments.
