You can find Protective Grease in the Ruins of Uhl's Palace, on a corpse in the tunnel leading to Noksstella, the Eternal City, near two flying ants.
How do you make the protective grease in Elden Ring?
To craft Protective Grease, you will need the recipe in Craftsman's Manual from p. shine (4) as well as the following resources:
- 1 root resin
- 1 Empty Silver Tear Shell
- 1 crystal bud
How to use Protective Grease in Elden Ring?
Protective Grease is used to improve guarding ability and to cancel all damage:
- Reduces stamina damage taken when blocking by 35%
– stacks multiplicatively with the Talisman of the Great Shield for a 48% reduction in endurance damage - Improves guard damage negation by 20% of damage that the shield does not inherently negate, meaning that it has more effect the less guard damage negation the shield has by default.
- Formula: (0.8 * Basic Guard negation) + 20 % = New Guard damage negation
- Example (0.8 * 60%) + 20% = 68%
