Update 4.00 information on RSL

Update 4.00 information on RSL

Hi all !

Update 4.00 is about to be released, and it will usher in one of the biggest features of the past few months: Clan vs. Clan tournaments. Please note that Clan vs. Clan tournaments will not be available when the update is released! We will be performing a series of tests to ensure server stability before the launch of CvC tournaments in April.

If you've seen our latest What's Next in Raid video, you already know how CvC tournaments will work. But we've prepared a brief description below for those of you who haven't seen it!

Clan vs. Clan Tournament Basics

Basically, CvC tournament is a special type of tournament where different clans compete against each other. Each tournament will be preceded by an in-game announcement 24 hours in advance, so clans have time to prepare. Clicking on the CvC icon will bring up a tab that will tell you if your clan can participate or not, as well as the requirements to be met to be eligible.

Matchmaking will be based on World Ranking for the first launch, but after that clans will be matched with each other based on their performance in previous CvC tournaments.

There will be a list of activities, each of which awards clan points when a clan member completes them (while the CvC tournament is active). Some of these activities can receive temporary boosts, meaning they award more Clan Points – be sure to check them in the Objectives or Versus tabs to maximize your return! It will take teamwork to win, so don't forget to coordinate with your clan mates.

The clan with the most points at the end of the CvC tournament wins. If several Clans are completely tied, the victory will be decided by the Clan which has gained these points first.

Clan vs. Clan Tournament Rewards

Participation in the Clan vs. Clan tournament results in rewards for all Clan members (provided they have contributed – you will need to reach a minimum of points to be eligible). First, there are Milestone Rewards – a series of milestones based on your Clan's performance level that require a certain amount of Clan Points to achieve. When the Clan reaches one of these milestones, each member can claim the associated rewards in the Milestone Rewards tab.

Additionally, the Versus tab contains a progress bar that indicates the current status of the CvC competition. The more points you earn against the other Clan, the more rewards you get; again, this applies to all Clan members.

Finally, if you win the tournament, your Clan will receive a CvC trophy. You receive one per victory, and they will always be displayed next to your Clan name – a perfect way to show your unity and strength.

New accessories

New accessory sets will be available as part of Clan vs. Clan rewards. They are the following:

blood shield

Gives the wearer a shield worth 5% of damage dealt after an attack (per prop), AoE damage gives 75% less shield.

Reaction

25% chance to turn a critical hit into a normal hit when attacked before the first turn (per Accessory)

The effects of these sets are cumulative. Thus, Bloodshield can provide a shield of 5-15 % of damage inflicted per attack, and Reaction can increase the chance of resisting a critical hit by 25-75 %.

Various

  • We will fix how the different shield buffs interact in 4.00:
    1. If a champion has a [Shield] active with a duration of 1 turn and receives another [Shield] buff with a longer duration, the new buff will take priority and will apply regardless of the value of the shield.
    2. If the choice is between two [Shield] buffs and their duration is equal to 1 turn, the buff with the highest shield value will be applied.
    3. Except in the case where a champion has a [Shield] active with a duration of 1 turn and by some effect applies a new [Shield] of the same duration during their turn – then the new shield will apply so that the champion does not lose his [Shield] at the end of his turn.
  • Clan activity for the last 7 days will be available in the Rankings tab of the Clan menu and will be visualized by the number of stars earned by clan members.
  • Clan Leader rewards overview will be fixed to display all items correctly.
