The runic bow is a special consumable that activates the effects of the great rune with which you are equipped. If you don't use a runic bow, your rune is dormant and its effects don't apply to your character. The effect of the rune bow is lost on death. Runebows cannot be crafted, but they can be cultivated. They can only be used offline or by the finger host in multiplayer.
