La plupart des habitants de Teleria considèrent les banshees comme les hérauts d’un destin inévitable, et ce à juste titre. Universellement féminines, ces revenantes sont connues pour hanter les mortels et les rendre fous en poussant des hurlements à glacer le sang ou en poussant des gémissements qui, parfois, brisent l’acier comme s’il s’agissait d’un simple verre.
Certaines d’entre elles cherchent même à nuire aux vivants à l’aide de magie noire ou d’armes endommagées, chaque victime traînée dans la tombe ne faisant qu’attiser la soif de sang de la Banshee. On ne sait pas si la Banshee au service de Wurlim Frostking était un tel esprit auparavant ou si c’est une guerrière mortelle tuée dans l’une des nombreuses guerres qui se sont déroulées dans les Terres de l’Hiver.
Mais elle ne ressemble pas à ce à quoi s’attendent la plupart des chasseurs de morts-vivants ; plutôt que d’être flétri ou éthéré, le corps de la Banshee gelée n’a pas été touché par la pourriture de la mort-vivante. Pourtant, il est couvert de glace et de givre, comme si elle avait reposé sous un glacier pendant des centaines d’années, préservée dans sa beauté fantomatique.
