But, of course, it's not just love marked by divine intervention or tragedy that deserves the minstrel's attention. These are just good for the dramatic flair that those knights of the lute enjoy so much. More often than not, love overcomes obstacles less grand on a cosmic scale, but no less difficult for the mortals who find themselves entwined. The Holy Order as a whole, without necessarily imposing a vow of chastity, prohibits its members from having families and heirs – a precaution aimed at ensuring that positions of power within the Order are passed down by virtue, not blood. Unwarranted attachment is also strongly frowned upon, if not outright prohibited in some of the Order's stricter divisions. It's no surprise, then, that Knights Romero and Juliana never thought they'd fall in love. Romero, ever calm and devout, found himself at odds with the young and brash Juliana, whose skill with the blade and fiery zeal led her to many mortal perils which she honorably overcame, much to the young knight's credit. But a life filled with battles tends to overflow emotions. Over time, the two men got used to each other's "quirks", and even learned to appreciate them. Their union, even if it was never formalized by a marriage, remains true and tested. This union also did not affect their relationship as comrades-in-arms; instead, she allowed the two knights to fight as one. Where Romero's natural caution can cause him to lose momentum, Juliana's cheeky but no less deft tactics allow their forces to control the initiative. And when Juliana begins to lose herself in the heat of the moment, Romero is always there to serve as an anchor to reason. To this day, they are among the main warriors of the Order and are ready to bring the light of Lumaya where it is most needed.
