Banshee story
Banshees are seen by most Telerians as heralds of inevitable doom, and rightly so. Universally feminine, these revenants are known to haunt mortals and drive them mad with bloodcurdling screams or moans that sometimes shatter steel as if it were just glass. Some of them even seek to harm the living with dark magic or damaged weapons, each victim dragged into the grave only furthering the Banshee's bloodlust. It is unknown if the Banshee in service to Wurlim Frostking was such a spirit before or if she is a mortal warrior slain in one of the many wars that have taken place in the Winterlands. But she's not what most undead hunters expect; rather than being withered or ethereal, the Frozen Banshee's body was untouched by undead rot. Yet it is covered in ice and frost, as if it had lain beneath a glacier for hundreds of years, preserved in its ghostly beauty. This same magic seems to belong to him, for each stroke of his spear brings the cold certainty of death. Even those who don't fall find themselves weakened, rendered vulnerable even as the Banshee's allies grow stronger.
