History of Banshee Gelée
Most inhabitants of Teleria consider banshees to be harbingers of inevitable doom, and rightly so. Universally female, these revenants are known to haunt mortals and drive them mad with blood-curdling screams or moans that sometimes shatter steel as if it were mere glass.
Some of them even seek to harm the living using black magic or damaged weapons, with each victim dragged to the grave only fueling the Banshee's thirst for blood. It is unclear whether the Banshee serving Wurlim Frostking was such a spirit before, or whether she is a mortal warrior killed in one of the many wars that have taken place in the Winterlands.
But she does not look like what most undead hunters expect; rather than being withered or ethereal, the frozen Banshee's body has not been touched by the decay of the undead. Yet it is covered in ice and frost, as if she had lain beneath a glacier for hundreds of years, preserved in her ghostly beauty.
This same magic seems to belong to her, as each blow of her spear brings the cold certainty of death. Even those who don't fall find themselves weakened, made vulnerable even as the Banshee's allies grow stronger.
