History of Elénaril

The High Elves pride themselves on their advanced and complex judicial system, whose principles, on paper, require the king or queen to guarantee fair and impartial justice to all their subjects. Of course, the reality is much more difficult than that.

Nobles and other powerful figures often act according to their own laws, escaping punishment while a more humble person would pay dearly for the same transgression. Yet nobles are not completely immune. Few curiosities arouse as much concern and fear at Queen Eva's court as the royal auctioneer Elenaril.

Being of noble birth herself, she is called upon to settle disputes between her peers or judge them for their crimes. Intrigues and assassinations are particularly common crimes, and Elenaril has therefore been the target of foolish would-be assassins on more than one occasion.
