Oui, oui, je sais. Anciennes cryptes, trésors indicibles, etc. De terribles gardiens et des secrets qu’il vaut mieux laisser dans l’oubli – de vieilles histoires de poissonnières, n’est-ce pas ? C’est ce que je pensais aussi.
Moi et mes potes – dix – avons décidé d’aller fouiller dans la tombe de ce vieux salaud de Graal. C’était un grand roi-sorcier, mort il y a des siècles, les habitants disent qu’il adorait Siroth et qu’il a transformé leurs grand-mères en grenouilles. Vous savez ce que c’est que ces histoires. Quoi qu’il en soit, l’endroit est resté calme, à l’exception de quelques récits d’ivrognes racontant que des squelettes se promènent pendant les nuits les plus sombres.
Mais nous nous sommes dit qu’avec les morts qui surgissent un peu partout à Teleria, ce n’était pas nouveau. Nous avons donc commencé, chaque homme étant un vétéran du métier. Nous avons voyagé loin, ramassé des brouettes pleines de choses dont vous n’auriez jamais rêvé, affronté des bandits, des bêtes, des concurrents, et j’en passe !
Et bien sûr, il y a une goule par-ci, un squelette réanimé par-là. Ce sont des problèmes habituels dans notre métier, nous les avons surmontés facilement. Mais quand nous avons atteint le sarcophage… Eh bien, il s’est réveillé. Tu imagines, mon garçon ? Flèches, pointes de lance, épées, tout est inutile ! La mienne était en bon acier arabe, forgée par les Elfes. Ne me demande pas comment je l’ai obtenu.
