History of Myrmidon

Les myrmidons sont des hommes d’armes d’élite au service des Seigneurs de la bannière de Kaerok, équipés et entraînés selon les meilleures normes disponibles dans le royaume. Leur nom est ancien et fier, et remonte aux redoutables guerriers qui servaient les cités-États avant l’avènement de Kaerok. Il s’agissait de la redoutable infanterie lourde, le poing maillé de toute armée commandée par les tyrans d’antan.

Leur habileté à manier la lance était légendaire, tout comme leur résistance. Les Myrmidons modernes s’efforcent d’être dignes de cette légende, et seuls les soldats vétérans qui ont survécu à d’innombrables batailles contre des forces écrasantes peuvent être honorés de ce titre.

Leurs lances ont été remplacées par des haches, des masses et de solides boucliers de chêne, et leurs armures sont ornées de l’héraldique de leurs suzerains et d’insignes d’honneur.
