History of Myrmidon

The Myrmidons are elite soldiers in the service of the Lords of the Banner of Kaerok, equipped and trained to the highest standards available in the kingdom. They were the formidable heavy infantry, the iron fist of every army commanded by the tyrants of yesteryear.

Their skill with the spear was legendary, as was their resilience. Modern Myrmidons strive to live up to this legend, and only veteran soldiers who have survived countless battles against overwhelming forces can be honored with this title.

Their spears have been replaced by axes, maces, and sturdy oak shields, and their armor is adorned with the heraldry of their liege lords and insignia of honor. Seeing these fearless heroes charge into enemy formations is an inspiring sight—unless, of course, you happen to be on the wrong end of a Myrmidon's axe.
