History of Bestial Reindeer
An outcast among outcasts, the very survival of the Reinbeast is as much a miracle as it is a testament to its strength and determination. Born in the darkest depths of the Durkham Forest on a cold winter morning, it was immediately marked by the strange color of its coat and its glowing red nose.
Throughout his childhood, the Reinbeast had to fight against all those who wanted to expel him. But the beatings and cruelty only hardened the poor creature and taught him to stand tall and proud, no matter what trials he faced. But on a stormy night, as the wind howled like a wounded dragon among the twisted, gnarled trees of Durkham, and a terrible blizzard swept across the land, his fate changed forever.
Forced to go out into the night by his tribe's chief for a senseless errand that would undoubtedly lead to his death, the Fox came upon a most baffling sight. A sled filled with strange objects lay there, trapped in the ice, and a man clad in silver and red armor worked tirelessly to repair the damage.
A small herd of reindeer shivered beside him, frozen and exhausted, unable to pull the heavy sleigh. At first wary, the reindeer was touched by the pure light that seemed to emanate from this mysterious human, and by the care he took in helping his exhausted mounts. He approached cautiously and offered his help in a rough common language.
To his great surprise, the man's words resonated in his mind with force and clarity, as if they had been spoken by one of his own kind. Sir Nicholas, as the stranger introduced himself, was very grateful for this help. With the reindeer now in the lead, his own reindeer were finally able to free the sleigh and continue on their way.
Thanks to incredible magic, they crossed Teleria in a single night to reward the righteous and punish the wicked, led by the glowing nose of the reindeer. It is not surprising that, when offered a single wish for his selfless help, the reindeer asked to remain in Sir Nicholas's service. And so he remained for centuries, pulling the mighty sleigh through blizzards and storms, and fighting alongside Sir Nicholas when the need arose.
