While Lumaya brings us the purity of love, Siroth bets on pure carnal desire. He tempts with excess and indulgence, drawing more and more willing servants into his nets wherever he can. Such was the fate of a vain and greedy young Kaerok nobleman who wished for nothing but to improve his position in power and his lot in life. Through the magic of Siroth's necromancers and his own deeds, he received a vampire's "kiss" and transformed himself into an undead beast. But his pact with the Shadow remained firm, as the noble was allowed to retain his beloved human form – for a time, at least. One can only imagine the shock and surprise of this wicked seducer when he came face to face with another servant of Siroth, known as the Temptress. The child of a vampire and a mortal, she was as vain and sure of herself as he was. And despite all his attempts to gain the upper hand, the Seducer only succeeds in getting caught in his own trap. For even the darkest heart can sometimes be enlightened by Lumaya's light, and he found himself hopelessly in love and subject to the whims of the woman he sought to surpass. Still, it might not be such a horrible fate, because despite their mutual viciousness and unsavory practices, these two go as well together as a werewolf and a full moon. This bond is hard to deny, and it even overcomes the deep-seated selfishness that characterizes them both.
