Indeed, following the completion of the quest where they learn about rescuing animals in the main story of the game, players will be offered many side quests relating to these often sweet and endearing beings.
Around this theme, we find the side quest called A thief in the night, which you can access after meeting Sebastian in Feldcroft to start looking for the last guardian. It can be triggered in Irondale, where several other Hogwarts Legacy side quests are offered, but it only takes place at night and you need to speak to a vendor named Padraic Haggarty to get started.

Items were stolen from Padraic's shop in the middle of the night, including a valuable treasure belonging to the family. To hunt down the thief you will have to visit Padraic's shop at night, you can of course go through the map screen and use the right stick to speed up time.
As it starts to get dark, you can cast the Revelio spell to see a trail of coins, which will lead you to the thief. Several Goblin camps are on the way, without you having to defeat them if you are in a hurry to finish the quest. Besides, you can speed up while flying on your broomstick if you don't need to earn more XP or collect coins.
You will then find yourself in the lair of a Niffler, which was not planned at the start. So, after recovering Padraic's treasure by climbing the rocks just above the pile of items stolen by the Niffler, you'll have to capture the creature with the capture bag, a slightly tricky task given the irregularities of the surface.
After retrieving Padraic's family heirloom and capturing the magical creature, it will be time for you to return to Irondale to complete your quest, which will reward you with 180 XP as well as the Niffler Mask which you can use to change your character. appearance. You can also get a few more Galleons from Padraic if you ask him.
