How to Build in Valheim?
In Valheim you can build houses or utility objects (like a chest for example). We will explain everything to you!

How to start building, the prerequisites!
To start building you need to make yourself a hammer, to make a hammer in the game you need wood.
How to make a hammer in Valheim?
Click on your tabulation key (or the one to open your inventory if you have changed the key).
Click on the hammer then create, to make a hammer you must:
- 3 wood
- 2 stones
How to use the hammer to build?
You have to click on the number at the top of your inventory 
For example, the hammer is in position 2. So just click on 2 to have the construction menu appear like this:
(More construction is added depending on your progress in the game).
How to build?
You have to make a " Crafting table or workbench » to be rated in order to be able to make certain constructions otherwise you have the message: « SOMETHING IS MISSING which will come up on your screen.
How to make a Crafting table?
To make a crafting table you will need:
- 10 wood.
Remember to put it in the middle of the place where you want to build, because there is a limited range for construction.
It will be necessary to use the workbench / manufacturing table, to make a house around it (a roof so that water does not fall on it)
Shortcuts to build!
To build you have several possibilities, you can place an object with a left click of the mouse.
You can rotate the object with the wheel.
And you can destroy the construction with a click on the wheel (be careful not to destroy everything!)

How to build a campfire?
To build a campfire you just need a hammer then:
- 5 stones
- 2 wood
The campfire is useful for cooking food and for lowering our humidity. You need a campfire to quote beds to be able to sleep so place the good.

How to build a kitchen?
Remember to put it above the fire otherwise you will get the message: " You must light a fire under the cooking station »
The kitchen allows you to cook meat. Be careful not to let the meat cook too long otherwise it becomes charcoal!
How to build a log?
The log is used to improve your Crafting table or workbench at level 2.
To make a log you need:
- 10 wood
- 10 flint
- a manufacturing table nearby
How to build a Tanning Stand?
Tanning support allows you to improve your Crafting table or workbench at level 3.
To make a tanning medium you need:
- 10 wood
- 15 flint
- 20 scraps of leather
- 5 deer skin
- a manufacturing table nearby
How to build a bed?
The bed allows you to sleep and save your spawn? If you die you will arrive in your bed!
To make a bed you need:
- 8 wood
- a manufacturing table nearby
How to build a chest?
The chest can store 10 items. Very useful for not having useless things on either during exploration in Valheim!
To make a box you need:
- 10 wood
- a manufacturing table nearby
How to build a wooden torch?
The wooden torch makes it possible to make light and therefore to see better (useful in houses at night!)
To make a wooden torch you need:
- 2 wood
- 2 resins (kill Gray Dwarves to get some)
- a manufacturing table nearby
How to build a sign?
Signs allow you to indicate things, for chests for example.
To make a sign you need:
- 2 wood
- 1 charcoal (Cooking meat too long)
- a manufacturing table nearby
How to build a deer rug?
To add a little decoration in the house, what could be better than a still warm deer rug?
In truth, I don't see the use for the moment, if you know, say so in the comments!
So it allows to increase the rest time (with comfort in the house)
To make a deer rug you need:
- 4 deer skin
- a manufacturing table nearby
How to build a house?
To build a house you have to go to Construction and then build your house one by one. You will need a lot of wood!!!
