Method 1: Rename your Evoli
The first technique for transforming Evoli into a Noctali is really quite simple! All you have to do is rename your Pokémon to "Tamao.
It couldn't be easier! Go to the Pokémon GO menu. Click on your Evoli, then on the pencil next to its name. Then simply type Tamao then validate your adorable Pokémon's new name!
Once this is done, you'll see that the Evolve" button of your Evoli has turned pink, with a small image of Noctali next to it. This means only one thing: your Pokémon is ready to transform into its Dark evolution!
Important : you absolutely must choose the nickname "Tamao" and not any other for the evolution of your Evoli into Noctali, otherwise this method won't work!
It should also be noted that this method of evolution only works’once and for all.

If your account is incorrect, the "Evolve" button will remain green and your Pokémon will not be able to evolve!
To collect Evoli candies, you can :
- Walk with your Evoli in Pokémon Buddy,
- Then you'll earn a sweet every 5 km travelled.

Method #2: Set Evoli as a Pokémon Buddy
For this second method, you also need 25 Evoli candies. Have you got everything you need? The next step is to define Evoli as Pokémon Buddy.
To choosing a Pokémon as a friend in Pokémon Go :
- Go to your buddy profile screen and select the "Changing buddies".
- Then click "Yes" to confirm, and choose your Evoli.
- With your Evoli buddy, travel at least 10 km to activate the "Evolve" button,
- You must keep as Pokémon Buddy throughout the process,
- And don't forget to collect your 2 Evoli candies !
